Probe of the Month March 2018
This tiny stylus is almost too small for a macro lens to capture. It's a 0.6 mm diameter ruby hemisphere mounted on a 0.25 mm diameter carbide stem. The miniscule hemisphere was created by cutting a 0.6 mm diameter ruby sphere in half. A typical ball-point pen holds a 0.5 mm diameter sphere. This sphere is only 0.1 mm larger.
