Q-Mark's First Vlog: Save Big on Styli for Your Faro Arm CMM

Q-Mark offers a variety of compatible styli for Faro. We have three different thread size connections available: M6 male thread, 1-1/4 x 20 female thread, and kinematic connection replacement styli.
The M6 male thread is the original style of stylus used by Faro. Q-Mark offers this style allow you to go from M6 threads to smaller thread sizes you may already use on your CMM, like M5. This gives you the option of using longer styli with greater clearance.
Faro moved to a much larger 1-1/4 x 20 female thread more recently. This style is widely used today. Q-Mark offers all three sphere materials with these bases. We also offer two thread adapters for this style: M6 and M5.
Faro's latest release uses a unique “kinematic connection”. What many users don't know is that the small stylus at the end is removable. It's held in place with thread locker. To replace these, you don't need to purchase a whole kinematic connection assembly with the stylus attached. If a sphere becomes worn or damaged, it can be easily replaced with a new M4 threaded stylus. Q-Mark offers replacement M4 styli for less than $100.00. The full OEM replacement with kinematic connection and new stylus runs about $600.00 — so that's a big savings.
